Black Pig Alentejo Destillery

Cork, animals, plants, beaches and fields - these are the origins of Black Pig Distillery, to which we still refer. In 2007, we planted the first Medronheiros orchard on the Costa Alentejana, also known as Western Strawberry Trees, to distill Aguardente de Medronho, typical of Portugal. In 2018, we added our gin.

We are committed to preserving the ecosystem for our black pigs, the "Pata Negra", the flagship of the Alentejo. That is why we live and work with respect and in harmony with the region. This perfect symbiosis of nature, the play of flavors and production processes, creates an ecological cycle from harvest to bottle for the gin. It is more than a gin. It is the magic that makes you close your eyes to dream of the dunes and the sea of the Alentejo coast.
