More information about 2020 Dievole Chianti Classico
Since the 2013 vintage, the world famous Alberto Antonini is responsible for the wines at Dievole. He has produced this Chianti Classico with a great sense of tradition. The fully ripe grapes were harvested in early October. Only yeasts from their own vineyard were used for fermentation (spontaneous fermentation). Aging took place for 14 months in large wooden barrels made of noble Allier oak.
The wine shows a strong ruby red in the glass. Intense aromas of violets and ripe red fruits flow from the glass. On the palate, it shows finesse through a distinct mineral note, well-integrated fine-grained tannins and an intense cherry aroma. The finish is smooth and persistent. A Chianti Classico as it is in the book.

Dievole
The prestigious winery "Dievole" in the Chianti Classico area has a history of over 900 years. It is first mentioned on May 22, 1090, when 2 friends of the monastery's head Abbate Rolando leased the land for the cultivation of grapes, paying annually 3 loaves of bread, 1 capon and 6 silver coins. Today Dievole is one of the most famous producers in the Chianti Classico area. But the winery stands for much more than the exceptional wines it produces. Because for Dievole, the focus is always on the people who make it possible: the workers. Many of them were born in the area or in the winery itself and feel a deep connection to the land and the wine that matures on it. This bond between man and earth can be tasted through their dedication and passion in every bottle of Dievole wine.
