5 continents - Hamburg Dry Gin

Distilled in our manufactory on Gut Basthorst (near Hamburg) with a total of 22 botanicals from five continents, it is clear, angular and well-proportioned and, in addition to its fine juniper content and balanced citrus notes, also brings something unusual from afar: Tart notes from Asian ginger and cardamom seeds, spicy notes from African grains of paradise (also known as Guinea pepper) and coriander, fresh notes from Australian eucalyptus, soft notes from American mate and cactus, floral notes from European lavender blossoms and iris roots.

The windjammer docks in the overseas port of Hamburg. Exquisite spices from 5 continents are unloaded in the time-honored brick buildings of the Speicherstadt. Distiller Fabian Rohrwasser distils them into a gin that combines all the diversity of their origins.

Like all our products, our gin is of course certified organic.

Expertise:

The clear, multi-faceted gin from Hamburg scores with recognition value. The nose is classically dry, with peppery notes and woody-rooty hints alongside juniper and citrus notes. On the palate, it is initially velvety and almost sweet with a floral interpretation, then juniper and pepper make their way to the taste buds, which are stimulated by the slight spiciness of ginger and grains of paradise. A remarkably multi-layered taste experience that lingers in a pleasantly warm finish.
