Gin and tonic belong together like Bud Spencer & Terrence Hill. Or like Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. They both have different strengths and support each other. First there was the Franz von Durst tonic water and then the gin was matched to it in terms of taste. The result is a truly refreshingly fruity drinking experience. The refreshing citrus aromas of the tonic water make the orange peel in the gin blossom. What remains is a wonderfully floral aroma. The juniper remains in the background, even in combination with the tonic water, allowing the other botanicals to take the lead. The elderberry and liquorice come more to the fore and are rounded off by the subtle hops note. The finish is slightly bitter, with the anticipation of the next sip.
