Tom, Matt and David, all three Americans, found each other in Berlin over music and beer. Their band project failed - but their creative improvisational spirit remained. So the three founded the Vagabund Brewery - and created a small monument for themselves in the German capital. They now boast a catalog of over 150 craft beers - from Belgian Ales to IPAs, stouts and Berliner Weisse. The beginnings, when the three of them still worked as teachers during the day and stood behind the bar at night, seem far away. Back then, brewing beer every Monday was their ritual - now it connects them every day. Their taproom's nano brewery, which soon achieved cult status, soon couldn't handle the demand.
