Dolleruper Destille

The Dollerup Distillery, not far from Flensburg, is home to Germany's northernmost distillery. Since 2003, exquisite distillates have been produced here from various types of fruit.

Six years ago, master brewers Dr. Axel Hartwig and Werner Sauer took over the distillery. The two career changers quickly discovered their passion for distilling and further expanded the range of products on offer at the distillery: Thus, in addition to the classic fruit brandies, you can also find German whiskey, rhum and gin at the Dollerup distillery. More unusual ingredients also regularly find their way into the still, as in the case of carrot brandy, peanut or cocoa spirit.

Environmentally friendly working methods are important to the distillers. Many of the distillates are therefore certified organic. The ingredients, such as the fruit for the brandies, the honey for the honey brandy, or the barley for the whiskey, largely come from farms directly in the region.
