Selling beverages with us is uncomplicated. Your products only have to meet our product criteria. As soon as we have accepted your products, customers can order directly from you.

Our business model and product promise

Our online marketplace is open to all producers and sellers of rare and special food and beverages. We work with product criteria that must be met in order for us to list you. Our customer promise is that all products on Honest & Rare are exceptional pleasure products off the mainstream.

We see ourselves as a marketplace for exceptional food & drink that you can't buy everywhere. Quality and uniqueness stand above quantity. Our admission criteria are:

• Regional & Manufacture: It is about drinks or food from regionally based manufactures and not just anything from anywhere.
• No mainstream: The products are not widely available in the national retail trade
• Focus on quality: You focus on sophisticated and high quality specialties instead of focusing on quantity
• No bullshit: Only natural ingredients are used in the beverages and food products

If you meet these, nothing else is necessary - no cover letter, no resume with picture, and no food or drink sample, as much as we'd love to taste.

Since we are a marketplace, we do not store any products ourselves. In case of a sale, you will be automatically notified by us and we will simply send the order directly to your buyers.

Our mission is to give visibility and reach to special and original drinks and food specialties. In this way, we make high-quality, hard-to-find pleasure products accessible to connoisseurs who are eager to make discoveries.

Our marketplace fees

The listing of your products is completely free of charge. We are purely commission-based. You will only be charged if you sell something. We love honest drinks and food as much as we love fair terms:

• No ongoing costs - or trick costs to sign up or set products.
• A commission of only 15,0% (net) of the value of goods without shipping costs and deposit. So we handle this differently than other online marketplaces. Shipping costs are not your turnover, so we leave them out of it
• The commission already includes the online transaction costs for payment providers (depending on the payment method between 1.0% and 2.5%); these are direct costs for us, which are incurred during the purchase.

What are the next steps?

After a short review of your request, we will approve your account. You will then receive an email from us with detailed information about the order process and billing, instructions on how to create your products, as well as the access data to your seller dashboard with us.

After you submit your request, we will activate your seller profile within 2 to 5 days. Then you will soon be able to enjoy your own online store with us.
