Selling drinks with us is uncomplicated. All your products have to do is meet our product criteria. As soon as we have listed your products, customers can order directly from you.

Our business model and product promise

Our online marketplace is open to all producers and sellers of rare and special foods and drinks. We work with product criteria that must be met for us to list you. Our customer promise is that all products on Honest & Rare are exceptional gourmet products outside the mainstream.

We see ourselves as a marketplace for exceptional food and drink that is not available everywhere. Quality and uniqueness take precedence over quantity. Our admission criteria are:

• Regional & manufactured: Drinks or food from regionally based manufacturers and not just anything from anywhere
• Not mainstream: The products are not widely available in national retail outlets
• Focus on quality: You focus on sophisticated and high-quality specialties instead of focusing on quantity
• No bullshit: Only natural ingredients are used in the drinks and food products

If you meet these requirements, nothing else is necessary - no letter of motivation, no CV with picture and no food or drink samples, however much we would like to taste them.

As we are a marketplace, we do not store any products ourselves. In the event of a sale, we will notify you automatically and simply send the order directly to your buyer.

Our mission is to help special and original drinks and food specialties gain more visibility and reach. In this way, we make high-quality, hard-to-find gourmet products accessible to connoisseurs who are eager to discover them.

• Unchanged order processing: We operate a dropshipping model. This means you ship directly to your buyers as normal

Our marketplace fees

Listing your gourmet products with us is completely free of charge. We are purely commission-based. This means that you only pay a sales fee when you sell something. We love honest drinks and food just as much as fair conditions:

• No running costs or monthly fees or trick costs for your registration or for posting products
• A commission of just 17.0% (net) of the value of the goods excluding shipping costs and deposit as well as a flat payment processing fee of just €0.40 per order. We handle this differently to other online marketplaces. Shipping costs are not your turnover, so we leave them out
• Our fees already include the online payment processing fees for payment providers (between 1.2% and 3.5% depending on the payment method); these are direct costs for us that are incurred at the time of purchase. So you have no further costs here

What are the next steps?

After a brief review of your request, we will approve your account. You will then receive an email from us with detailed information on the order process and billing, instructions on how to create your products and the access data for your seller dashboard with us.

After you have sent your request, we will activate your seller profile within 2 to 5 days. You'll soon be able to enjoy your own online store with us.
