Sauerland Distillers

Sauerland Distillers has already made steam with its Woodland Sauerland Dry Gin at a whole series of spirits competitions and won medals. The Woodland Gin Navy Strength also has almost ten awards under its belt. With their gin, Sauerland Distillers (namely Andreas Schulte, Olaf Baumeister, Till Brauckmann, Matthias Czech, Dr. Moritz Dimde and Gregor Biedrzycki) wanted to improve the image of the Sauerland region - how fortunate that there are some gin fans in the group.

In developing the recipe, the Sauerland boys paid attention to typical ingredients from the region. They also had professional help in the form of TV chef Olaf Baumeister. Entirely in honor of their nature, "Woodland" became a woody-earthy gin that, with its woody botanicals, lives up to its origin and its name: Spruce tips, tree fungus, dandelion root, nettle and sorrel.

Woodland Gin has now been on the road to success since 2017. There have been awards, especially internationally. In 2019, the Pink Gin was also launched on the market - which of course has already won gold.
