In aerospace engineering, Max-Q is the point (in the spatial and temporal sense) at which the aerodynamic load on a flying object moving in areas of highly variable air density reaches its maximum. The load is q=(p/2)v² p=rho / density V = velocity. In the case of brewing power, this is the moment when the maximum hops hit you in terms of taste.
