More information about Altenburger Premium Pils
It's not easy to be the frontrunner in the Altenburger Brewery's richly awarded range, but the Premium Pils is one of the most awarded beers in the range The delicately tart Pils has already charmed a number of judges with its classic character
The Premium Pils goes back to a recipe from 1871 and is traditionally brewed with hops from the Elbe-Saale region The regional hops give the beer its wonderful tartness and characteristic bitterness The fine beer comes in a stylish swing-top bottle and flows into the glass in a shiny, crystal-clear golden hue, A stately crown of snow-white foam sits enthroned on the pale golden body, perfecting the appearance and exuding a tantalizing aroma at the same time A beautiful hop flower rises to the nose and mixes with the scent of freshly mown summer flowers and a hint of oven-fresh bread to create an irresistible mixture
The first sip reveals a light-footed body with gentle carbonation and a palatable 4.9% alcohol content Soft notes of grain and light malt caress the palate and are reminiscent of freshly baked bread A hint of yeast gives the beer a fine spiciness, while the hops taste of flowers, herbs, grass and tart, green fruit The crisp bitterness runs like a red thread through the drinking experience and leads to a bitter, dry finish
Altenburger Premium Pils is an honest pilsner with a wonderful bitterness and clear flavors
