More information about Fidi
Unless you are one of those unfortunate people with hay fever, there is hardly a better scent than that of freshly mown grass drying in the warm summer sun Spicy herbal notes combine with the aroma of wild meadow flowers, the incomparable smell of green grasses and a subtle note of damp earth - the epitome of summer, lightness and good humor!
The resourceful brewers from Flügge in Frankfurt have come up with a beer that makes the sensual experience of fresh hay possible for allergy sufferers too: Fidi is a strong saison that was created together with hobby brewer and beer blogger Benedikt Koch from Wilder Wald The beer was fermented with a special saison yeast from Belgium and Brettanomyces A good portion of this is responsible for the wonderful aroma and taste of hay, which was also brewed into the beer
Fidi flows into the glass in a warm copper hue and ends with a handsome crown of white, dense and firm foam If you close your eyes and take a whiff, you feel transported straight to summer: Spicy hay, floral notes and a hint of earth - a sunny August morning in olfactory form! The first taste follows this wonderful first impression and caresses the palate with the unmistakable aroma of hay, a fine acidity, strong herbal notes, earthy hints and delicate malt
