Uko Vodka

My great-great-grandfather was a globetrotter and adventurer. In his store he traded in fruits, vegetables and spices. On his worldwide travels, he was always on the lookout for new spices. Nepal and the Himalayas, he visited more often.

Decades after his death, we discovered in an old chest, diaries and letters he had written to my great-grandmother from his travels. In his notes, he raved about the land, people, cultures and his discoveries. While traveling through Nepal, he discovered for himself the spice that sparked his particular passion - Timut pepper, with a fruity, fresh grapefruit note. After finding his letters, my curiosity was piqued to explore Timut pepper. The smell and taste of this great pepper did not let me go, so I decided to make a vodka refined with Timut pepper.
