More information about Ambiente Edelweizen
Ambiente is a noble spirit based on our own grain spirit obtained from wheat and malt. This matured for 5 years in small cognac barrels and was then refined by our master distiller with selected ingredients.
Ambiente was initially intended to be an anniversary brandy for our 125th anniversary in 1992. For this purpose, we wanted to create a very special spirit. That's why we bought up old cognac barrels in which cognac had been stored for decades, and filled them with our wheat grain, which had also been stored before. After a little over two years, we saw that something very special was emerging from this.
In short order, we said that we would make more than just an "anniversary brandy" out of this product. Ambiente was born out of this story. The development of the product, the product design and the naming took a total of 2 years.
The word ambience is used when an environment is particularly pleasant. That is why we named our product accordingly, because it should not only be drunk in a suitable ambience, but also because it enriches the atmosphere. The name Ambiente as well as the bottle shape is protected for Krugmann.
