The Black Pig Rum
According to legend, Ilha do Pessegueiro (The Peach Island) is a mythical place full of pirate stories and serves as the inspiration for this rum from Portugal. This creates an intense rum influenced by the spices brought along the historic trade routes by the ancient Portuguese sailors as they explored the remote lands in Africa and Asia. The taste is rounded off with botanicals from the Alentejo.

Cocktail Tropical Tonic Mojito:
With our Black Pig Rum Ilha do Pessegueiro you can create wonderful cocktails; for this you can find here en recipe and ingredients:
- 6 cl (60 ml) Rum Ilha do Pessegueiro
- Cut half of a fresh lime into 4 pieces
- Add 1,5 teaspoon of brown sugar
- 1 passion fruit (use pulp and seeds)
- 8-12 mint leaves
- 12 cl (120 ml) Mistelhain Signature Tonic Water
- Ice
Preparation for your Tropical Mojito
First, place the washed mint leaves between your palm and beat them. A dry and strong blow is enough. This will enhance the flavors and oils of the peppermint.
First, add lime, pulp and seeds of passion fruit, peppermint and brown sugar to a glass. Use the pestle to crush the fruit to release the juices. Then add the ice and the Black Pig rum. Stir slowly with the spoon and then slowly top everything off with tonic.
Then decorate with a slice of lime, mint and a passion fruit note.
