More information about Jamie's Irish Red Ale
Braukollektiv Freiburg has made quite a few friends with its fine beer creations The brewery's illustrious circle of admirers and acquaintances also includes the iconic Irish pub Oscar Wilde's: the stylish café honors the Irish poet with a classic British ambience, the finest whiskeys and hand-picked beers
A real specialty in the pub's range is Jamie's Irish Red Ale, which the Freiburg brewing collective created especially for Oscar Wilde's The beer is a genuine Irish Red Ale with a malty character and hoppy twist Jamison O'Kelly, man's best friend and the brewers' favourite dog, gave it its name
Jamie's presents itself in a warm copper hue in the glass A fine veil of lightly tinted foam sits enthroned on the reddish-brown body, which smells enticingly of caramelized malt, freshly harvested wild berries and fruity hops A hint of pine resin rounds off the olfactory first impression and makes you look forward to the first sip This reveals a well-balanced body, which caresses the palate with a harmony of delicately melting caramel, gently roasted malt and red berries The hops complement the malty base with resinous herbal notes and a hint of freshly mown grass The bitterness is perfectly balanced and lingers with a beautiful mildness into the finish
