More information about 2017 Coelus Reserva
In Roman mythology, COELUS is the name of the sky in the form of the gods. The Bodegas Yllera winery expresses its admiration for the pioneers of the skies with this artistic label. Thanks to their courage and ideas, the dream of flying has become a reality for people today.
The Coelus Reserva comes from 25 - 40 year old vines in the bodega. The grapes were harvested by hand and selected twice in order to obtain only perfectly ripe grapes for the wine.
Maturation took place for 24 months in oak barrels and then for at least 12 months in the bottle. The result is a wine of incredible complexity and structure. Even on the nose, this Reserva impresses with an incredible bouquet of black berries, liquorice and roasted aromas together with balsamic and floral notes. On the palate, it is perfectly structured with soft tannins, a fresh acidity and a long, inspiring finish.

Bodegas Grupo Yllera
The current owners are the 6th generation Yllera family together with the oenologist Ramón Martinez. The winery is located in the middle of the region and is divided into production and an old historic building used exclusively for storage and cultural purposes. This building dates back to the XIV century and has about 1 km of tunnels and passages that are 20 meters deep. The brand "Yllera" has almost cult status in Spain and is one of the most famous wines of the country.
