More information about 2021 Dievole Chianti Classico organic red wine
Since the 2013 vintage, the world-famous Alberto Antonini has been responsible for the wines at Dievole. He has produced this Chianti Classico with a great sense of tradition. The fully ripe grapes were harvested at the beginning of October. Only yeasts from the vineyard were used for fermentation (spontaneous fermentation). The wine matured for 14 months in large wooden barrels made from fine Allier oak.
The wine is a deep ruby red in the glass. Intense aromas of violets and ripe red fruits emanate from the glass. On the palate, it shows finesse with a clear mineral note, well-integrated fine-grained tannins and an intense cherry flavor. The finish is smooth and lingering. A Chianti Classico as it should be.

Dievole
The prestigious winery "Dievole" in the Chianti Classico area has a history of over 900 years. It is first mentioned on May 22, 1090, when 2 friends of the monastery's head Abbate Rolando leased the land for the cultivation of grapes, paying annually 3 loaves of bread, 1 capon and 6 silver coins. Today Dievole is one of the most famous producers in the Chianti Classico area. But the winery stands for much more than the exceptional wines it produces. Because for Dievole, the focus is always on the people who make it possible: the workers. Many of them were born in the area or in the winery itself and feel a deep connection to the land and the wine that matures on it. This bond between man and earth can be tasted through their dedication and passion in every bottle of Dievole wine.
