As everyone knows the Hobbits love to party and drink, but why is the Hobbit beer called "1420er Eichental"? Eichental is the name of the sports field / grounds where the Tolkien Days have been held since 2018 in the small town of Pont, a district of Geldern. 1420 malt was called the barley from the northern quarter, which was harvested in 1420 A. Z., because of its excellent quality. The expression "fourteen twenties" later became a fixed term for a good beer among the Hobbits. But surely you knew that? Most importantly, the 1420er and now the 1420er beer brandy must be tasted!

Our fleuther micro-brewery is located in Geldern and was founded in 2016. Oliver and Sylvana develop the recipes themselves at their small brew kettles in the brewery. The new beers are brewed on large brewhouses (15 to 45 hl). The beers are unfiltered, brewed with natural and best raw materials. fleuther stands without question regionally for the Lower Rhine with its name and the Lower Rhine head willow in the logo. The success speaks for itself - the beers are also available nationwide and our young brewery is growing steadily. We are organizer, sponsor & supplier of the Tolkien Days (June) and Halloween Party (October) in Geldern-Pont with our beer Brown Ale "1420er Eichental" and the Pils "EINS".
