More information about Matt the Bread
Beer style: Pale ale
No one probably expected that a bad-tempered loaf of bread would become an absolute cult figure on the evening program, but the depressed toast became a real audience favorite shortly after the first episodes were released If you're wrinkling your nose now, you've probably never zapped through the TV program at two in the morning
The team at Freigeist Bierkultur, however, seems to know the lamenting baker and has created a beer in his honor At least that's what the title suggests Together with another brewery, the brewers from Stolberg have come up with a fine pale ale that would put a smile on even grumpy Bernd's bread face
The creation is called Matt the Bread and has a tame 5.0% alcohol content in the glass The apricot-colored beer has an airy head on the richly cloudy body and smells enticingly of fruity hops and ripe stone fruit Apricot and co are also evident in the first sip: Soft notes of peach, mirabelle plum and mango ensnare the palate Gradually, spicy pine resin and a rounded bitterness join in The Pale Ale is skillfully balanced and delivers a quaffable fruit explosion that we can't get enough of
Matt das Brot is balm for your soul when everything is just crap again
