More information about Markus Schneider Kaitui Sauvignon Blanc Fumé 2020
When the Palatinate meets New Zealand, something wonderful is born - like Markus Schneider's Kaitui Sauvignon Blanc Fumé. Grapes from the estate's oldest Sauvignon Blanc parcel, growing at a cool altitude, were used for the white wine. Gently pressed and fermented in wooden barrels, the wine was able to develop its fresh and fruity character, which is perfectly rounded off by vegetal aromas and a fine spiciness. Thanks to its pleasant acidity, Markus Schneider Kaitui Sauvignon Blanc Fumé is a pleasure to drink neat as well as with dishes of Asian cuisine. By the way, "Kaitui" comes from the Maori language and means "tailor" - the winemaker therefore skillfully links his creation with his Palatinate home and the New Zealand home of Sauvignon Blanc overseas.
