More information about Pisco MalPaso Icono
Pisco MalPaso Icono is a Chilean grape brandy made from muscatel grapes, which, as a special feature, is aged for 6 months after distillation in steel tanks under exclusion of air. The grapes come from a special parcel of the winery and are subjected to a strict yield reduction and are harvested very late in order to achieve the greatest intensity of aromas in the grape.
Although at first glance quite similar to Pisco MalPaso Reservado, the Icónico develops a completely different aroma and flavor profile due to the prevention of oxidative processes during storage.
Fruity and floral aromas are much more restrained and more closely interwoven, whereby the character of the Moscatell grapes is retained and is still complex even in the aftertaste. The texture is incomparably velvety and soft - definitely enjoy on its own and not too cold!

By the 1940s, the area under cultivation had expanded to 100 hectares, and the white wine now produced by his son was enjoying great popularity nationwide. Since at least 1937, the company also distilled its own pisco in smaller quantities. The farm, which is now run by the fourth generation of the family and in which the fifth generation is already working diligently, now cultivates over 700 hectares. There, not only grapes for the own Pisco production are cultivated, but also table grapes and citrus fruits, as well as grapes for other Pisco producers. The best vines...
