Dark & Stormy recipe

Ingredients (for 2 portions):

• 10 cl Gosling's Black Seal Rum (alternative: dark rum)
• 24 cl ginger beer
• Lime juice (as required)
• 2 lime slices
• ice cubes

Preparation:

1. Place ice cubes in two highball glasses.
2. Pour in the lime juice & ginger beer.
3. Carefully float with rum. Garnish each with a slice of lime.

Difference between Dark & Stormy and Black & Stormy

The Dark & Stormy is often referred to as the national drink of Bermuda and its recipe is strictly protected by the Gosling family. In fact, the trademarked name Dark & Stormy can only be used if it is made with Gosling's Black Seal Rum. If a different rum is used, the cocktail is often called Dark'n'Spicy or Black & Stormy.
