More information about Simonsig The Grapesmith The Kluisenaar 2018
In a powerful straw yellow, the Simonsig The Grapesmith Die Kluisenaar shines in the glass and already proves its complexity in the bouquet. Aromas of citrus blossoms, lemon cake and baked apple pamper the senses of the connoisseur and are underpinned by yeast notes and undertones of roasted nuts. On the palate, nuances of stone fruit and a fine minerality unfold. The well-integrated acidity and wonderful texture give Simonsig The Grapesmith Die Kluisenaar its great mouthfeel that lingers. The multi-faceted white wine cuvée of Roussanne (58%) and Marsanne (42%) aged for eleven months in French oak and will gain even more complexity and depth over time. But even today, the limited white wine, of which only seven barrels were produced, is a highlight for the palate. Dishes with poultry, grilled seafood or cheese are an excellent choice to Simonsig The Grapesmith Die Kluisenaar.
