More information about Schwechower liqueur GUAVE-PHYSALIS
The former knight's estate ,,Gut Schwechow" in Prizier, Mecklenburg, has meanwhile been known for many years for its unique distillery art. In the estate's own distillery, fine fruit brandies, exquisite liqueurs and genuine German gin are produced every day by experienced distillers. Our liqueurs combine the finest distillate and high quality fruit juice.
Unlike fruit brandies and gin, the liqueurs are not produced by distillation, but by filtration. In this process, the fruits are first soaked in alcohol for a certain time, then pressed out in alcohol and then filtered. The appropriate pickling time is crucial for the intense flavor of the liqueur. Before the liqueur is finally finished, fine sweetness and/or aromas are added.
A very special specialty is our tropical liqueur made from guava and physalis. The fruity-sweet liqueur with sourish, by the Physalis conditioned, note convinces not only purely or ,,on the rocks", but also in the Longdrink or in the Cocktail. The suitable serving temperature for this liqueur is 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. The guava-physalis liqueur has an alcohol content of 15%.

Schwechow fruit distillery
Schwechow Manor is a historic estate built in 1229, which today houses the Schwechow Fruit Distillery. The distillery produces fine fruit brandies, spirits, liqueurs and gin and is located in the heart of the Mecklenburg Elbe Valley Nature Park. The distillery originally dates back to the 18th century. Today, high-quality spirits are produced here under the motto "Preserve tradition, shape the future", including many in limited editions. Our fruit brandies, spirits and liqueurs are made from the best and most aromatic fruit. The estate's lovingly restored former pigeon house houses Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's first fruit capper distillery. Our high-quality Platinum products in mouth-blown glass decanters round off our premium range.
