More information about Bourbon Barrel Bock
If you want something to be particularly good, you have to be patient
The brewers from Weldebräu in Plankstadt have shown a great deal of patience with their fine bock beer and held back over a period of three months in order to be able to present you with an incomparable beer with a complex character, intense depth of flavor and wonderful aroma in the end Their Bourbon Barrel Bock is brewed like a conventional strong beer, However, once the brewing process is complete, the beer is not bottled directly, but rather in disused wooden barrels that previously housed fine bourbon Over the next 90 days, the beer absorbs the exquisite aromas from the wood and develops an elegant flavor profile that combines the sweet, full-bodied softness of a bock with the fire of schnapps
The specialty beer flows into the glass in a warm copper red and completes its handsome appearance with a crown of creamy, ivory-coloured foam An olfactory poem of malt, honey, bourbon and vanilla rises into the air and almost seduces you into drinking it The first and all subsequent sips are a velvety combination of gently roasted grain, delicately melting caramel, strong spices and earthy oak notes The hops deliver harmonious notes of flowers, freshly mown grass and tangy lime A bitter, fruity and spicy finish rounds off the beer enjoyment harmoniously
