More information about Zwickerla Hell
The pale Zwickerla from Kundmüller is brewed with the hop varieties Spalter Select and Perle The result is a naturally cloudy Zwickel beer with a fine balance of hops and malt and a wonderfully spicy yeast note The mild beer delights with a well-rounded variety of aromas and is extremely drinkable thanks to its subtle bitterness
The Fränkisch Hell flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy gold color and is adorned with a stately crown of white, fluffy foam A tantalizing aroma of yeast, bread dough and freshly mown grass rises from the frothy splendor, tart fruit and flowery hops The first sip follows the first impression and presents a well-rounded beer with a strong body and feather-light hop elegance The hops are playful and dance on the tongue with notes of green apple, tangy lemon, freshly mown grass and beautiful floral notes The malt contributes a gentle sweetness and caresses the palate with notes of roasted grain The yeast rounds off the aroma in a spicy way
Incidentally, on the label of the Zwickerlas you can see the senior boss of the Kundmüller brewery after carrying out a traditional activity: before the photo was taken, Erwin pitched the barrels Piching is the technical term for sealing the barrels To do this, all joints and small openings in the surface of the barrel are sealed with pitch This process prevents carbon dioxide from escaping, and the barrel is also easier to keep clean if the surface is smooth on the inside
Cheers to tradition and craftsmanship!
