Podere Brizio is one of the best producers in Montalcino and enjoys worldwide recognition. The estate's best-known wine impresses with its complexity: ripe plums, berries, sweet blackcurrants, some forest soil and a hint of leather.

Maturing in large wooden barrels and barriques, the tannins are almost silky and beautifully soft, the wine is full-bodied, with great length and a lot of potential.

Podere Brizio

The Podere (German = country estate) "Brizio" is located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Valle d'Orcia. The romantic landscape of this region was highly celebrated by painters during the heyday of the Renaissance and offers architectural masterpieces of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The winery is a little pearl tucked away in the southwestern hills of Montalcino, about 40 km from Siena. It is known for its long-lived wines full of finesse and elegance. In addition to a farmhouse with 8 guest rooms, the estate includes 9 hectares of vineyards, most of which are planted with Sangiovese (Brunello). The world famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced here.
