An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin

An Dúlamán is a truly Irish Maritime Gin. When you live in Donegal, you automatically become a gin collector and this passion is dictated by the lunar cycle. Full moons bring with them extreme tides and this gives the rare opportunity to collect rag kelp, Irish moss, sugar kelp and gutter kelp in sparse quantities.

A complex process, a delicate recipe and a good dose of mischief are required to balance these botanicals with soft juniper and citrus notes.

An Dúlamán is the first gin to be distilled in Donegal and takes its name from an Irish folk song that describes the conversation between two seaweed gatherers. The design of the bottle is based on the flotsam and jetsam found on the coast for centuries during the heyday of the Spanish Armada. Each bottle is sealed with wax and the batch number is linked to the lunar cycles.

The Sliabh Liag Distillery in Donegal has not been around for long, but the owners have fully embraced the land and its people and this spirit is also reflected in this gin. County Donegal is dominated by the Sliabh Liag mountains that guard the Wild Coast of Ireland. Often described as the place away from civilization, it is the protector of the terroir, natural heritage and folklore of the few who have embraced this land and guard its spirit.

Maritime Irish Gin produced in small batches, bottled and numbered by hand, capturing the maritime flavors through slow distillation.
