More information about Audemus Covert Liqueur
Covert Liqueur was born from the desire to combine the fragrant warmth and complexity of three ingredients in a chord of liquid harmony. Using only fig leaves, spring honey and cognac, distiller Miko captures a flavor that is at once stimulating, gentle and pleasantly perfumed.
Fig trees grow in abundance throughout France - adorning the edges of vineyards, appearing sporadically in the wild, and taking pride of place in private gardens. At the beginning of spring, fig trees fill their leaves with an aromatic sap that takes on a rich green color while exuding the heavy and sweet aromas of leaves roasting in the sun.
To transform this aroma into flavor, the fig leaves are harvested during the short period when they are most aromatic. They are then air dried, lightly roasted by hand and finally transformed into this luminous liqueur after adding only the other two aromatic ingredients and a small amount of cane sugar to balance the sweetness.
On the nose, the Covert Liqueur has a deep musky aroma balanced by the brightness of fruit. On the palate, it shows notes of preserved figs countered with dry tones of roasted almonds and rye. The aroma of honey lingers on the tongue, contrasted with a teasing bitterness.
It is perfect as a digestif - served neat or over ice.
Aromas: Roasted fig leaves, cognac, honey.

Audemus Spirits
Audemus develops high-quality spirits that combine modern techniques with traditional methods. The products are made by experienced distillers and blenders in Cognac, France, proudly producing innovative products. The small and fine Audemus distillery is unique in the Cognac region. Here, spirits are not produced by huge, copper beasts in thousands of liters - but just a few liters, which we extract from a small still in distiller Miko's living room. With our vacuum distillation we achieve that the distilled plants do not boil - and thus preserve the freshness of the taste. Convince yourself!
