The Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend Magnum presents itself in an intense ruby red in the glass. Its bouquet delights with a harmonious combination of fruity and spicy aromas. In particular, blackberries and plums come to the fore, while subtle notes of sweet spices, vanilla and dark chocolate round off the aromas.
"The palate is dominated by dark fruit and subtle smoky nuances, which give this masterfully composed cuvée its special depth. The Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend Magnum is composed of Shiraz (34%), Cabernet Sauvignon (24.5%), Merlot (11%), Malbec (8%), Petit Verdot (7%), Cabernet Franc (5.5%), Pinotage (4%), Mourvèdre (2%), Grenache Noir (2%), Barbera (1.5%) and Marselan (0.5%). The soft tannins provide an elegant structure and a pleasantly full-bodied mouthfeel.
After maturing for twelve months in French oak, the Babylonstoren Babel Red Blend Magnum reveals its full class. Enjoy this expressive red wine on its own or as the perfect accompaniment to spicy dishes, game or dark meat. The combination with lamb in rosemary is particularly delicious.
