Bandoeng'22 is an award-winning Dutch pandan liqueur that combines first-class Dutch distilling skills with the exotic Asian flavor landscape. The name Bandung is an ode to the city of Bandung on the island of Java, which was known as the "Paris of Java" in the 1920s.
Pandan is the leaf from the screw palm. Pandan leaves, also known as "Asian vanilla", form the flavor base of Bandoeng'22, which is refined with a selection of Asian herbs and spices. Pandan is therefore very popular in Asian cuisine and is used in soups, curries and rice dishes as well as to make delicious desserts.
On the nose, the notes of nutmeg, cocoa and hazelnut are particularly noticeable, which are complemented on the palate by nuances of vanilla and cinnamon to create a unique composition.
Inspired in Indonesia and produced in the renowned, family-run distillery Herman Jansen, which has been dedicated to distilling first-class distillates since 1777.
Due to this combination of spicy and sweet flavors and the striking green color, Bandoeng'22 Pandan liqueur is widely popular on its own, mixed in cocktails and as desserts.
