We live in a time of contrasts We have to do less physical work than ever before, but are under far more stress than ever before An abundance of food is available 24 hours a day and yet we regularly go on a diet and avoid carbohydrates, sugar, wheat flour or lactose We could easily travel everywhere by car and yet we try to walk 10,000 steps every day, We could easily travel everywhere by car and yet we try to walk 10,000 steps every day Medical care is better than ever and yet we are plagued by countless common diseases for which there is no cure We are surrounded by a wide selection of the finest strong beers, but sometimes we still fancy a slim brew
Because life is complicated enough as it is, we have both strong brews with plenty of revolutions and feather-light examples without any alcohol in our range The light rye from Brauhaus am Kreuzberg is a great compromise with its mild 2.4% alcohol content The brewery affectionately calls its malty creation "driver's beer"
The light-footed rye beer enchants with its full-bodied character and rich cereal notes that taste like freshly baked bread A hint of apple, the creamy texture and spicy yeast round off the beer's flavor and make you forget that this beer has only half the alcohol content of the average brewed beer
