ZERO.5 is the name of a fine lager from BRLO and is derived from the alcohol content of the specialty beer: this crisp little beer comes in at a slim 0.5%. Instead of alcohol, the capital city brewers have opted for another special ingredient.
Bread.
Bread? Yes! For their lager, the brewers got together with their friends from Zeit für Brot and killed two birds with one stone. Zeit für Brot is a young bakery that works with traditional recipes and regional raw materials from controlled organic cultivation by Bioland.
The team is committed to a sustainable concept and produces all kinds of baked goods using green electricity. Any goods left over at the end of the day are donated to those in need. Nevertheless, sometimes something is left over and this is where our brewers come in. They have developed a recipe that replaces some of the malt with dry bread. The aroma of the bread complements the fine tartness, fruity sweetness and lemony acidity of the beer wonderfully and gives it an interesting character.
BRLO's non-alcoholic lager has a pale golden hue in the glass and a stable crown of white foam on the delicately cloudy body. The aroma and taste deliver tasty notes of sun-ripened grain, tangy citrus fruit, flowery hops and oven-fresh bread crust.

Brlo - Your Berlin Beer As a Berlin brewery and catering company, we stand for modern beer diversity and distinctive experiences. By the way, BRLO is the old Slavic name for Berlin and can only be pronounced without mistakes after a few beers. A Franconian, a Berliner and a Mecklenburger founded the Berlin beer brand BRLO in 2014. Two of them, Katharina Kurz and Christian Laase, already know each other from their studies. Diplom Braumeister Michael Lembke is the third in the group, who shared the dream and has been the mastermind of BRLO beers since the beginning.
