More information about Steelyard
An excellent Pale Ale from the home of the Pilsener.
The far north is known for its preference for bitter pilsners. Bitter, rough beers are the order of the day here. The master brewers know how to handle large quantities of hops and can work out the different sides of the green gold perfectly. A greater challenge is the malt, which ideally complements and underlines the hops. The brewers at the Buddelship brewery in Hamburg have risen to this challenge and created a truly masterful pale ale.
Steelyard is a Pale Ale with an alcohol content of 5.6% and a lot of flavor. The pale beer flows into the glass in a cloudy amber hue and forms a stately, white head. When poured, the fluffy foam gives off wonderful aromas of freshly baked bread, soft caramel and fresh citrus fruit. A hint of pineapple and juicy peach complete the first impression. In the taste test, Steelyard is distinctly malty: sweet malt aromas bring the taste of warm bread and soft caramel to the tongue. After the malty first sip, the hops join in and give the palate a tangy freshness that complements the malt wonderfully.
Steelyard is a malty masterpiece with a taste reminiscent of a visit to the bakery. Fresh bread with a crisp crust meets a fine cookie base, while the flowery, fruity power of Liberty and Cascade contribute to the interplay of aromas.
