The base of this gin from the Catoctin Creek Distilling Company is distilled from rye and refined and rounded off with a secret composition of spices and herbs. The name Catoctin is of regional origin, derived from the name of the Kittocton Indian tribe and means: the place of many deer.
The company philosophy of the Catoctin Creek Distilling Company is that food and spirits must be of high quality and free from pesticides and artificial additives. The fruit and grain for Watershed Gin are therefore sourced from the immediate vicinity of the distillery and are produced naturally.
Fresh, intense and slightly sweet on the nose, Watershed Gin is complex on the palate with a translucent rye note, subtle citrus and cinnamon notes, an essence of freshly cut hay and, of course, crisp, fresh juniper. The finish is long-lasting and pleasantly mild. Watershed Gin is a delight both on its own and as an ingredient in new and traditional gin drinks!
