More information about Coopers Original Pale Ale
This APA is not an American Pale Ale, but an Australian Pale Ale that delights with a fine bitterness and a wonderful yeast note.
A special feature of this beer is that the pale ale is fermented a second time in the bottle after fermentation in the tank. To do this, the brewer adds a small amount of yeast to the beer shortly before bottling, triggering a second fermentation. This process ensures a lively carbonation and eliminates the need for artificial additives.
To activate the full flavor potential, the brewery recommends placing the bottle on its side briefly and rolling it back and forth a few times before opening. In this way, the cloudy substances at the bottom of the bottle are distributed in the beer and boost the taste.
Depending on whether you swirl it before drinking or not, Coopers APA flows into the glass in a cloudy or clear golden hue. A white, fine-pored head tops the beer and exudes a fine aroma of light malt, freshly mown grass and delicate citrus notes. On the tongue, the beer is initially malty and tastes deliciously of oven-fresh cookies, creamy toffee and pale malt. The hops join in after a few sips and give the beer a nice citrus aroma. The yeast adds a strong spiciness and gives the beer that little bit extra.
