Since 1873—reimagined

The Schrömbgens family has been documented since 1675. In the mid-19th century, two brothers combined their areas of expertise: Josef, the physician, and Johann Albert, the merchant. What began in 1873 as a joint herbal bitter—officially certified by “Dr. med. Schrömbgens”—disappeared from the market after the founders’ deaths. In 2023, great-great-grandson Don Vincent took up the spiritual legacy: with a new recipe, a new name, and the unmistakable character of Baden-Baden.

Doktor Tonic - 4cl DSBB · 160ml dry tonic water. Fill a glass with ice, add DSBB and tonic water. Garnish with rosemary or thyme.

Doktor Aperitivo - 6cl DSBB · 9cl Prosecco · Soda water. Fill an aperitif glass with ice, add DSBB and Prosecco, top off with soda water. Garnish with dried orange slices.

Senator - 3cl DSBB · 3cl Campari · 3cl red vermouth. Chill a tumbler with ice; stir all ingredients separately with ice, then strain.

Baden-Baden Martini - 6cl DSBB · 1cl dry vermouth. Chill a martini glass with ice; stir the DSBB and vermouth separately, then strain into the glass.
