More information about Bons Voeux
Traditionally, people pop the champagne corks at midnight on New Year's Eve and welcome in the New Year with a festive pop, a sentimental toast and a sparkling sip of sparkling wine. Nowadays, more and more breweries are offering their customers beer-based alternatives for this special occasion. One of them is Brasserie Dupont from Belgium.
The team has been brewing Bons Vœux for more than 50 years and sends its loyal fans and friends their best wishes for the New Year. In the 1970s, the fine drop was so strictly limited that customers had to secure their ration months before New Year's Eve to avoid running out.
But what makes this beer a New Year's Eve hit? The real cork and the impressive 9.5% alcohol content are powerful arguments. Thanks to the fact that it is bottled in champagne bottles, you can celebrate the opening of this noble drop wonderfully and use it for toasting or as an aperitif. The beer has an intense fruity character that combines tingling notes of yellow citrus fruits with warm spices and nutty malt. The hops add an elegant complexity and make Bons Vœux the perfect accompaniment to cheese, fish, game dishes and all kinds of other delicacies served on festive occasions.
