ed.B. - the Edition Banana by Christian²
What does ed.B. taste like? Fruity, but not sweet. With 42% vol. you can drink it wonderfully pure, chilled or at room temperature. But also mixed with a mild tonic, we are more than thrilled with what has evolved from our idea. Produced in small batch, with red pepper, lemon peel, coriander, juniper and banana. Nothing more.
Why banana? The origin story:
Who hasn't heard the saying, "A banana has 150 calories, gin and tonic only 115. Breakfast for the next 14 days is set." That's how it started. A delicious gin with banana - that would be it! Especially since bananas are one of the most popular fruits among Germans - and didn't we, the two Christians from Göttingen and Lüneburg, just see the students in our hometowns munching on bananas as nerve food? So we simply macerated banana with a neutral alcohol, juniper and other botanicals together. Without much effort - try it first: In the jam jar, can the banana already reveal what it can do? It could! Then it went on, with the crazy claim: Let's make another good non-alcoholic gin. It should be a hit! So off to the kitchen we went with the mini distillery, botanicals and water. Would banana provide enough flavor here, too? Yes! Initially, the desire to make a non-alcoholic distillate remained strong. We also found the recipe for this, but then soon came the legal requirements that make it difficult to bring a shelf-stable foodstuff to market without alcohol. That will probably come in the spring of 2021. As a "by-product", the alcoholic London Dry Gin ed.B. has now come out on the same recipe basis, which I do not want to withhold from you. Gin also fits wonderfully to us, because juniper is actually a typical inhabitant of Lower Saxony. It is not only native to the Lüneburg Heath, but also to the rolling hills of the Leinebergland.

Christian²
Göttingen and Lüneburg can now be tasted - united in a gin by Travelgusto maker Christian and a friend of his. His name is also Christian, and so Christian² was born, the new brand for local enjoyment. Göttingen, the proud university city - or as they say in jest: the university with a city. That's where Christian comes from. And the other Christian is from Lüneburg. The pretty Hanseatic city is a little smaller, but just as historic and also has many, many students. That's what unites both cities, so it's no surprise that our gin is distilled with real banana. You can just see the power fruit everywhere in the hands of the students. It quickly and long-lasting fills up the brain depots that are simply needed for learning. And what do students like to tell themselves? "A banana has 150 calories, gin and tonic only 115, breakfast for the next 14 days is set ."
