More information about Elbe Valley
Aged in red wine casks, 5½ years old, single cask.
Distilled in March 2015 and bottled in August 2020. The raw material for our Elbe Valley Whisky - Saline - is a barley malt blend, not peated. It was stored for 4 years in a 220 liter wine barrel, the variety Pinot Noir from the winemaker Manuel Wild, here in Jork. For another year, the barrel then moved to the saltworks of the Soltau Salt Boilers Association, where it received its special finish.
- Aroma: Fruity and sweet, spicy.
- Taste: Plum, cinnamon, oak, light salt liquor.
- Finish: Medium length and oily, with dark chocolate on the tongue.
