More information about Elbe Valley
Stored in red wine barrels, 5½ years old.
Distilled in March 2015 and bottled in August 2020. The raw material for our highly aromatic Elbe Valley whisky - red wine - is an unpeated barley malt blend.
It was stored in barrels of SPÄTBURGUNDER wine from the winemaker Manuel Wild from Gengenbach. This is the "first fill" with our distillates in freshly emptied barrels.
- Aroma: ripe grape, vanilla, nut and citrus
- Taste: Initially a strong tang on the tongue, which disappears in the second sip. Then sweet, fruity and full-bodied.
- Finish: Medium length with a mild sweetness
