More information about Elbe Valley
Aged in red wine casks, 5½ years old.
Distilled in March 2015 and bottled in August 2020. The raw material for our highly aromatic Elbe Valley Whisky - red wine - is a non-peated barley malt blend.
It was stored in barrels of the wine variety SPÄTBURGUNDER from the winemaker Manuel Wild from Gengenbach. This is the "first fill" with our distillates into freshly emptied barrels.
- Aroma: ripe grape, vanilla, nut and citrus.
- Taste: strong tang on the tongue at the beginning, which disappeared in the second sip. Then sweet, fruity and full-bodied.
- Finish: Medium length with mild sweetness.
