Ettore Galasso

The Galasso family has a long history of viticulture. Already since the end of the 17th century began to produce wine in the idyllic home in the heart of Abruzzo. The private winery is located in the village of Loreto Aprutino and is surrounded by the three main national parks of the region.

Ettore Galasso has been in charge of the winery's fortunes since the 1970s. It was he who brought the winery into the modern age and began bottling its own wine instead of selling it in barrels. Always innovative, Ettore Galasso focused early on environmental protection and green energy. Today, for example, the winery is proud to be able to cover its entire production with energy from its own photovoltaic systems.

Today the winery is one of the most important wine producers in the whole of Abruzzo, with its own vineyard area of 120 hectares. The main grape grown is the Montepulciano grape, from which the world-famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and the aromatic rosé Cerasuolo are produced.
