More information about Fir love
Wake up the Black Forest in you!
Tannenliebe tastes slightly sweet and tart, refreshingly lemony and naturally of fir. Just as if you were standing in the forest. Handmade, with wild picked fir tips and organic fir honey from the Black Forest.
Tannenliebe tastes, polarizes and is pure Black Forest.
Fir tips
The special thing about fir tips is that they never taste the same. A different location of the fir tree or a different time of harvest significantly influence the taste of the drink. Harvesting the young fir tips - with the permission of the responsible forestry authorities - is a labor-intensive undertaking. Machines are not used. Each fir tip is picked by hand. In the sometimes impassable Black Forest terrain, this takes a lot of time and effort.
Honey
Fir honey is made from the honeydew of the fir trees. The special thing about it is that aphids produce the honeydew from the sap of the silver fir. The bees milk the aphids and thus produce the spicy-malty fir honey. This perfectly matches the sour-tart aroma of the fir tops. Of course, the fir honey we use comes from the Black Forest, from the Upper Kinzigtal near Alpirsbach.

Fir love
Tannenliebe is a refreshing drink with heart. A lot of love and handwork goes into it. Luca and Louisa collect the young fir shoots, often together with friends, in the Black Forest area around Freiburg. The fir tips are boiled together with sugar and honey to make a sweet molasses. The final step to a refreshing drink takes place at the Rogg family brewery in Lenzkirch (Black Forest). There, Tannenliebe is blended and bottled. Anyone who then opens a bottle can smell and taste the Black Forest.
