More information about Lüc
A new addition to the range of high-proof brewing specialties: Lüc is a 10.0% beer creation from Flügge and is called Imperial Oud Bruin
Oud Bruin is a West Flemish type of beer that is traditionally brewed with lactic acid bacteria and stored in oak barrels after completion Joachim and Dominik have put their very own stamp on this exciting beer style and created an interpretation with two types of yeast On the one hand, the traditional yeast from Flanders is used, while Brettanomyces also help with fermentation and give the beer a very special character in keeping with the Oud Bruin tradition, Lüc is also stored in barrels: Before bottling, the fine beer is given its finishing touches in wine barrels
The result of this elaborate process is a beer that flows into the glass in the ruby red color of strong red wine A thick, creamy head adorns the copper body and exudes a seductive aroma The first sip reveals a powerful strong beer with big red wine notes, plenty of malt, The Brettanomyces yeast has an unmistakable flavor that gives the beer a special note The dark fruitiness goes wonderfully with the intense malt, while the barrel maturation rounds off the aroma with spicy wood notes and a hint of vanilla
Lüc is a delicately balanced specialty beer and just the right beer for anyone who also enjoys drinking red wine
