More information about Pitt & Rubi wine hybrid
Even though Pitt and Rubi come from two worlds that couldn't be more different, they are a true dream team Opposites attract - Pitt & Rubi is living proof and another wonderful beer from Flügge
The two Frankfurt brewers Joachim and Dominik are known for their extraordinary beer creations and the daring use of unusual yeasts Pitt & Rubi combines these two qualities wonderfully: The beer-wine hybrid is made from sour beer and wine and fermented with very special yeasts The sour beer contributed by Flügge is brewed in the style of a Berliner Weisse, the orange wine from the Siegerrebe comes from winemaker Daniel Mattern The yeasts used are Belgian saison yeast and a Brettanomyces strain The finished beer is aged on fruity apricot puree The result is an exciting beer that delights with fine acidity, elegant fruitiness and moussing creaminess
Pitt & Rubi flows into the glass in slightly cloudy, light amber The head is fleeting in nature and quickly gives way to an enticing aroma: fresh white wine mingles with green apple, ripe apricot and the unmistakable smell of Brettanomyces yeast The first taste follows the olfactory first impression and caresses the tongue with notes of apricot, green gooseberries, white grapes and rhubarb The fruity sweetness is joined by a fine acidity
Pitt & Rubi is tangy, fruity and very refined
