More information about Förster-Märzen
In the past, the forester was an important part of beer production All kettles and pans had to be operated with wood fires and the malt was also dried over a crackling fire The forester was responsible for the health of the forest and the constant supply of good firewood: He looked after the trees and ensured the supply of wood for breweries and everyone else through his work and actions
Today, the heat is no longer generated by wood fires The electricity comes from the socket and the malt is no longer kilned The foresters are still responsible for the well-being and continued existence of our forests In their honor, Gampertbräu has chosen a forester as its figurehead The labels feature a forest-green-clad gentleman with a magnificent beard and pipe He is holding a tankard of golden beer All Gampert creations are named after him, including Förster-Märzen
This traditional Franconian brew flows into the glass in bright gold and, in addition to a full 5.5% alcohol content, brings a full body and strong aromas to the table The drinkable drop tastes of oven-fresh bread, creamy blossom honey, roasted malt and grainy cereals A subtle bitterness and a subtle fruitiness round things off
