Glacier Gin

The idea for Glacier Gin was born in early 2018, when two friends Fannar and Halli, together with Volcanic Drinks Distillery, decided to make their own gin. It should reflect the beauty of the Icelandic glaciers.

Early in the development process, Rúrik Gíslason, the former midfielder of the Icelandic national soccer team, also known as the "Nicelander" and an old friend of Fannar and Halli, joined the Glacier Gin team. He immediately fell in love with the idea of sharing the fascination of Icelandic nature with the whole world through a gin.

But Glacier Gin also carries a very serious message. Due to global warming, the glaciers on Iceland are threatened with melting in the next 200 years. With their gin, the three friends want to point this out and remind us of the important climate goals.
