More information about Grave Digger
Beer style: Mixed Mexican Chili Stout
Digging your own grave is the stuff of nightmares and horror movies, but when the job comes with an extremely tasty beer, we're happy to get to work!
The beer we're talking about is appropriately titled Grave Digger and was created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Two Chefs Brewing The Amsterdam brewers didn't celebrate their festive season without the right beer, of course, and what better way to celebrate than with a 10.6% Mixed Mexican Chili Stout?
This night-black beer specialty contains a whole range of extra ingredients: In addition to hops, malt, yeast and water, the brewers have used cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon and four different types of chilli The fiery kick and unusual fruitiness are thanks to the chipotle, guajillo, ancho and pasilla varieties This concentrated load of chilli harmonizes wonderfully with the warm spices and the fine chocolateiness of the cocoa chips Grave Digger tastes of melt-in-the-mouth chocolate, exotic vanilla, spicy cinnamon, dried red fruits, freshly brewed mocha and fruity chilli Because the two head brewers were chefs in a previous life, they have perfectly seasoned the spiciness of the pods, adapted it to the full-bodied sweetness of their brew and combined it with a subtle bitterness
