More information about Hanscraft & Co. Backbone Splitter IPA
The "Backbone Splitter" is a real announcement from Hanscraft & Co.: four highly intense aroma hop varieties went into the kettle and give this crisp IPA its hoppy omnipotence. The Aschaffenburg brewery's range includes some hop bombs, but the Backbone Splitter is absolutely unique! The classic West Coast IPA delights with a truckload of tropical fruit, thanks to the Magnum, Simcoe, Summit and Amarillo hop varieties.
The smell confirms what the label already announces: fruit and hops are here in full measure. Hanscraft has not skimped on the good stuff and has served us a real treat of hoppy excellence.
The Backbone Splitter flows into the glass in a clear amber hue and shimmers in the vibrant color of ripe oranges. A fine-pored, white foam crowns the magnificent beer and exudes an irresistible aroma of ripe peach, golden mango and other tropical fruits. But it's not just the aroma that enchants, the palette of flavors is also impressive: from tart to sweet to hoppy and fruity, it has everything your heart desires. Juicy peach and mango aromas mingle with a fine malty sweetness, while a crisp bitterness accompanies the interplay of flavors. Even a slight hint of licorice does not seem to disturb the overall composition. The bitterness slowly fades in the aftertaste, but a gentle sweetness remains on the tongue.
The "backbone breaker" is an excellent choice for advanced craft beer drinkers.
